The South-West Metro Pirates are the NBL1 Teams for the South-West Brisbane area. NBL1 is the semi-professional basketball league in Australia!

We are excited to be organising the Dance Crew for the South-West Metro Pirates Home Games, and forming an awesome Crew of passionate and energetic dancers aged 8-17 years old from ALL DIFFERENT Dance Studios!

 

Our Dance Crew gets the crowd roaring, cheers on the Teams and brings the groove on Game Days at the South-West Metro Pirates home, Hibiscus Stadium in Mount Gravatt. The atmosphere at these events is ELECTRIC and we are excited for our Dance Crew to be part of the entertainment!

WHAT OUR DANCE CREW DO:

- Cheer during the player announcements at the start of the game

- Quarter-Time and Half-Time dance performances

- Cheer from the sidelines throughout the games

- Get the crowd involved with chants and drumrolls

- Freestyle and keep the crowd's energy up during Timeouts

- Interact with the junior teams and other young audience members to contribute to the community atmosphere at the games

- Be enthusiastic, reliable and entertaining Dancers who are passionate about performing and are valuable to the energy of the event!

WHO THIS DANCE CREW IS FOR:

We are looking for dancers who are energetic and enthusiastic performers. We want to perform with dancers who know how important it is to cheer on and encourage those around them in all areas of life!

 

- Dancers aged 8-17 years old, who have a passion for performing!

- Dancers who are comfortable performing for a crowd, and who have a few years of dance classes behind them.

- Dancers who can commit to attending the rehearsals at our Studio in Cleveland and performing at the Game Days listed in the info pack at the Hibiscus Stadium.

- Dancers who have a parent/guardian who can commit to attending the Game Days listed in the Info Pack to supervise and encourage their student.

- Dancers and families who love to celebrate the wins of those around them

a reliable and enthusiastic crew member and representing a team!
